How do I configure a One-Time Token or One-Time Link?

For background information on using one-time tokens or links, see About One-Time Tokens or Links.

Complete the following tasks to configure One-time Token or One-time Link as a temporary authentication method:

  1. Log in to the service and go to Administration > Authentication > Authentication Settings.
  2. Do the following:
    • Choose a Temporary Authentication option:
      • One-time Link to send a unique link.
      • One-time Token to send a unique one time password.
  3. Click Save.
    • Click Send Authentication E-mail and do the following:
      • From Send To, select Users or Groups. Choose whether the service sends the email to Users of Groups.
      • From the Users or Groups list, choose the specific users or groups to which the service sends the authentication email.
      • Click Send Credentials.
  4. Click Save and activate the change.

After your users receive the email, they can then log in to the service, as described in the sections below.

Using a One-Time Password to Log In

The Zscaler service sends an email with the one-time temporary password.

The user can then use the temporary password to log in to the service. After the user enters the temporary password, the service displays a form requiring the user to enter a new password.

When the user clicks the link, the service displays a message indicating that the user is logged in to the service.
